This guide is designed to assist you in efficiently handling time off and shift entry requests within Time by Wagepoint. Whether it's a request for time off, a shift modification, or a new shift entry, all employee requests can be conveniently accessed in one centralized location, simplifying the administrative process.
- Navigate to the "Timesheets" section and select Requests.
- Within Requests, you'll find three tabs: "Shift Entries," "Edit and Delete Requests," and "Time Off Requests" for approving or denying requests.
- To select entries, you have two options:
- You can choose them individually by using the checkboxes to the left of each entry.
- Alternatively, if you want to select all entries at once, simply place a check in the upper checkbox.
Shift Entries - This tab enables you to see shifts that employees have manually added to their timesheet using the 'add shift' feature in their app or web interface.
Requests are categorized under 'Shift' or 'Weekly' entries in the request type column. Weekly entries are initially minimized and can be expanded using the accordion symbol. You can either expand to view and approve individual daily requests or approve the entire week while it remains collapsed.
You can approve or deny, either from the summary view or from the detail view.

Edit and Delete Requests - This tab allows you to view requests from employees seeking to modify or delete previously recorded shifts that were made via the mobile or web time clock.
To view the details of the edit request, select the "view" option. From there, you can either approve or deny the request, whether you're on the preview or the detail page.
Time Off Requests - In this section, you can access and review employee requests for both paid and unpaid time off.
To see the specifics of a time off request, click on the "view" option. You can then proceed to approve or deny the request, whether you're in the preview or the detail page.
In the request details view, you can check how many vacation and sick hours the employee has left, which helps with your approval or denial decision. You'll also see when the time off request starts and ends, making it easier to plan accordingly. And there is also a "reason" section where you can leave a note for the employee to explain your decision.
