If you'd like to run a payroll without Wagepoint submitting remittances on your behalf, you'll need to turn off the Taxes Remitted For You setting.
If you turn off remittances, the source deductions will remain behind in the company account so you can pay the CRA directly.
To turn OFF the Taxes Remitted For You setting:
- In the top right corner of the app, go to Settings > Account settings.
- Select the Settings tab.
- In the Company Settings section, find Taxes Remitted For You and set the toggle to NO. Wagepoint will no longer collect and remit on your behalf.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Save Changes.
IMPORTANT: After your payroll has been finalized and you've seen the final reports, you'll need to turn the Taxes Remitted For You toggle back to YES if you'd like Wagepoint to submit remittances on future payrolls.
