In this article, you will find the steps to review and submit your year-end tax forms. For more useful information, do not forget to visit our year-end knowledge base.
Important Note: You must run a minimum of two (2) payrolls that pay in the 2025 calendar year in order for Wagepoint to prepare and submit your T4/T4A/RL-1 forms. To check if you qualify, please review your payroll reports.
Here is a quick video that shows the basic steps.
Enable Auto-Submit tax forms in settings
In order for Wagepoint to be able to submit your year-end forms to the CRA or Revenu Quebec, you must have Auto-submit tax forms enabled in your account settings.
- Navigate to Settings and click Account Settings.
- Toggle Auto-submit tax forms to YES
-
Click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the page
- The toggle is set to “Yes” by default, unless you have changed this setting in the past.
- This setting will be locked as of February 19, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET.
- Set the toggle to “Yes” to allow Wagepoint to file the tax forms with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Québec (RQ) on your behalf.
- Set the toggle to “No” if you wish to DIY, submitting your own tax forms to the government and your employees.
- Note: If adjusting the toggle, ensure you leave enough time to review and edit the tax forms if needed, before the above noted deadline. The toggle will be locked and, if set to “Yes”, forms will be submitted to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Québec (RQ) on your behalf.
Enable T4As for contractors
- Navigate to Employees and the Contractors tab
- Click on the contractor's name you wish to view
- Toggle Generate T4A to YES
- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page
Review, edit, and submit your forms
Note: The Year-End Review section only appears starting the first week of January and is available until the deadline to submit the tax forms.
Navigate to Reports > More > Year-End-Review.
In the employee drop-down, you can select what form to view.
You can click edit to edit the form you are viewing. Any edit made here will flow to the relevant summary form, i.e., editing a T4 will update the T4 summary.
Click Submit to submit all forms.
After submitting the tax forms, you can check back here to see the status. Your submission number will be provided here once it is available.
After the forms are submiteed your employees with portal access will have the forms made available to them. You will be able to view the forms by navigating to Reports > More > T4 files/RL1 files
For employers with Quebec employees, we cannot submit the RL1 summary on your behalf.
How to file your RL-1 Summary
You can file your completed summary with Revenu Québec using one of the following methods:
- The paper form mailed to you by RQ (or order a new one online)
- Your RQ My Account for businesses
- The fillable PDF available from RQ
Remember to follow RQ’s Guide to Filling the RL-1 Summary and to give yourself plenty of time to prepare and submit your file so that it is received by Revenu Québec no later than February 28, 2026.
