This article outlines the steps for undoing/reversing a termination and deleting the Record of Employment (ROE) generated – but not yet submitted to Service Canada – for the employee. When you undo a termination, the employee will be placed back into active status with their original hire date (as if never terminated).

You can delete a Record of Employment (ROE) from the system – as long as the submission status is “ROE Web/Manual” or “Not Started” (view definitions). The ROE will need to be deleted before you will be able to undo the termination.

  1. Navigate to ReportsMore > ROE files.

  2. Click the “Delete ROE” link corresponding to the ROE you wish to delete.

Once the ROE has been deleted, you will be able to undo the termination.

  1. Navigate to Employees > Terminated Employees.

  2. Select “Undo termination” from the drop-down menu under “Actions”.

  3. Click “Yes”.

The employee will now be under the Active Employees list as if they had never been terminated.
