We released the following feature enhancements and bug fixes in Wagepoint on January 12, 2021.
Features/enhancements
- Created the PD27 CSV form.

- Fixed the UI issue in the year-end review pages — previously, if a user clicked "Edit" and then clicked outside of the modal, the user would be put into the Edit state automatically. This has been changed so that clicking outside of the modal behaves as if the user didn't initiate an Edit at all.

Features/enhancements
-
Archive sub-company function for accounting and bookkeeping partners — An accounting/bookkeeping partner can now archive a client that is no longer associated with their firm, as long as a person associated with the business (for example, a business administrator) is set up on the client's side. Note: Once archived, the client is no longer a sub-company of the partner. To learn how to archive a sub-company, click here.
-
Disable accounting/bookkeeping partner access function for small business owners — If a company no longer wants to give their accounting/bookkeeping firm access, a business administrator associated with the company now has the ability to disable the firm's access. Note: Once disabled, any discounts associated with the previous relationship between the company and accounting firm will no longer be applied. To learn how to disable partner access, click here.

The following updates were released within Wagepoint on April 29, 2021.
Features/enhancements
-
Basic exemption checkbox in off-cycle payrolls – Added a new column to the off-cycle payroll process to allow for the exclusion of the annual basic Canada Pension Plan (CPP)/Quebec Pension Plan (QPP) exemption from being applied in an off-cycle payroll. In the default setting, the checkbox is selected, and Wagepoint will apply the basic exemption amount for that payroll.
-
Physical work location indicator – Added a physical work location indicator to allow a company to select a province different from the province of employment for the purposes of calculating vacation pay and holiday pay.
-
Payroll Account Numbers become read-only once a user clicks “Save Changes” under the “Payroll Details” heading – Your Payroll Account Numbers, identified in Wagepoint as your Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) payroll account number and Revenu Quebec (RQ) account number, change from editable values to read-only values immediately after saving the page. If a value is not entered in the system, the field remains open for data entry.

-
Fixed a bug to allow users to preview the “Payroll hours by cycle” report in our Reports library.

-
Updated the calendar in the employee portal to correctly reflect the next pay date.
-
Fixed the “Select All” feature on the “Paystub Memo” screen. When the “Select All” box is checked, the system will select all names in the list; unchecking the “Select All” box will deselect all the names.
